Give relocated reptiles a safe place to go
Snake catchers are running out of suitable places to release the reptiles they relocate. If you have land with good habitat, you can offer it as a release site on your terms.
Why release sites are running short
Land clearing and habitat degradation keep shrinking the public bushland, reserves and creek lines where catchers can legally and safely release animals. The sites that remain are often small, and releasing too many animals into one small patch can overload it with more reptiles than the habitat can support.
Private land spreads releases across more places, keeps animals close to where they were found and takes pressure off the small public sites that are left.
You stay in control
Choose whether non-venomous reptiles, venomous reptiles or both can be released. Choose whether catchers contact you before every release, or whether approved catchers registered on 18004SNAKE may come only to release animals. Choose whether releases can be filmed and published.
How verification works
Select your land on the map, upload proof of ownership or government identification, and sign the permission. Our team checks your proof, then issues a permission PDF with a map of the approved land to you and to approved catchers. Your proof document is deleted once it has been checked, and you can withdraw permission at any time.
