How much does snake removal cost?
There is no single 18004SNAKE removal price. Independent catchers set their own fees, so get a quote from the business that will attend before confirming a booking.
Ask for the total, not just the starting price
A useful quote explains what you will pay for the actual visit. Tell the catcher where you are, when you need help and where the snake was last seen. Ask whether the amount includes travel, after-hours attendance, a search and GST where applicable.
We do not publish a national average or a starting price without a reliable, current dataset. A price from one suburb or one business should not be treated as the price for every location.
- Is the quoted amount the total payable?
- Is there an additional travel or after-hours fee?
- How much search time is included?
- What happens if the snake has left before arrival?
Call-out, search and capture are different things
Ask whether a fee is payable for attending and searching even if no snake is found. If extra search time could be charged, agree on the rate and ask the catcher to check with you before continuing.
Also ask about cancellation, payment methods and a receipt. Keep the quote or booking confirmation so both you and the business have the same expectations. These are questions to ask, not a statement that every catcher uses the same charging model.
A directory listing is not a quote
A profile may include business-supplied rates. Confirm they apply to your address, time and situation before the catcher travels. Estimated coverage or an on-call indicator does not reserve a visit, guarantee a response time or lock in a fee.
Payment for the removal is arranged directly with the independent catcher. If you are arranging help for a rental, workplace or another person, clarify who is authorised to book and pay before confirming.
Safety comes before price comparison
Keep people and pets away while you arrange help. Do not try to catch a snake yourself to avoid a call-out fee. If a person may have been bitten, call 000 rather than waiting for quotes.
